About
A woman of substance who made her mark with sheer perseverance, Captain Anny Divya became the youngest woman to ever command a 360-seater Boeing 777 aircraft. All of this is because her younger self saw a dream, a dream to fly high through the clouds!
From a young age, she defied societal norms and pursued her dream of becoming a pilot despite facing resistance and skepticism from those around her. Her determination and the support of her parents enabled her to overcome financial obstacles and secure admission to the prestigious Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi (IGRUA) at the age of 17.
Despite initially struggling with language barriers and lacking fluency in English, she persevered and excelled in her training, eventually landing a job with Air India at the age of 19.
Her willingness to step out of her comfort zone led her to undertake training in Spain and London, where she honed her skills flying different aircraft, including the Boeing 737 and 777.
Anny's talent lies not only in her exceptional flying skills but also in her ability to overcome adversity and defy societal expectations. Anny Divya's accomplishments serve as an inspiring example of what can be achieved through perseverance and resilience in the face of adversity.
Not stopping at fulfilling her dream of becoming a pilot, Anny also went on to pursue her further education. She now holds an LLB degree from Rizvi Law College of the University of Mumbai.
